Taking a Stand

Taking A Stand

You cannot please everybody all the time.
Always try to stand firm on your words and actions after ensuring that those actions are deemed right in the eyes of God, your principles and general morality.

Once upon a time, a man and his son embarked on a journey with their donkey. The following events occurred:The son sat on the donkey and the man walked beside it. People who passed them abused the boy of disrespect because he was sitting while his father walked.
They decided to listen to the advice of the people and so the father sat on the donkey and the son walked. Again, they passed some set of people who expressed their shock at the supposed cruelty of the father, because he sat while his son walked along in the scorching desert sun.
Once more, they gave in to the talk of the people and this time around, both father and son sat on the donkey. Animal lovers and activists who saw them as they journeyed along were very vocal in condemning the two, whom they described being wicked and mean to the poor donkey

Rather than be labeled as mean, the pair decided to show their animal loving , by carrying the donkey on their heads. Imagine the sight of two men carrying their means of transport, rather than the other way round!

These time around all the sets of people who had passed them from the start of their journey to the present time, all had a hard time standing still from laughter and mockery at the father and son. Their act of madness and foolishness according to these sets of 'Advisers' was unequalled!
Moral of the Story
You cannot please everybody all the time. Always try to stand firm on your words and actions after ensuring that those actions are deemed right in the eyes of God, your principles and general morality.

Better to be a lion for a day than a sheep for a lifetime.

I am not afraid of an army of one hundred lions led by a sheep. I am afraid of army of 100 sheeps led by a lion. ...

What is the difference between an obstacle and an opportunity?

“What is the difference between an obstacle and an opportunity? Our attitude toward it. Every opportunity has a difficulty, and every difficulty has an opportunity.”
― J. Sidlow Baxter

“Love what you have. Need what you want. Accept what you receive. Give what you can. Always remember, what goes around, comes around…”
